Beginning Robotics Class

This is a beginning course in robotics. It provides the basis for a comprehensive start to teaching STEM subjects and computer science in the 21st century classroom and enables students to build, program, and test their models using LEGO bricks and real-life robotics technology. We will be utilizing Lego Mindstorm kits, Robolab software and various Lego Robotics materials. The objective of this course is to introduce the student to basic programming as well as problem solving strategies. This course will involve students in the development, building and programming of a LEGO Mindstorm robot. Students will work hands-on in teams to design, build, program and document their progress. 6th grade+, 2 hour class, 2 weeks, Mon-Fri.
